Prototyping

We develop our products in close relation to customers and users, and work iterative with development, design and test as a circular process. This means that prototyping is an important part of the development process. One thing is thinking and drawing what we think is the best way to support the soldiers in the field. But testing it with a real prototype gives a more specific idea of what can be optimised.

When designing new products, we prefer to join the customer in a training camp so we can see and experience the needs and challenges on our own. In this way we believe that we can build a better common understanding of the project and innovate and develop tools and prototypes that fulfil the certain needs.

We aim to meet the end users as early as possible for the better knowledge and understanding.

Optimizing the prototype before the final production

After the initial EDM process, we develop a prototype of the new item, mount or accessory to test and check if it functions optimally. Again, we urge the end users to allow us to join the testing to see and check if everything is working properly or could be optimized.

When back at the drawing board the engineers change and optimize the prototype, before it is sent into actual production.

We use this method because we believe that it improves our ability to navigate, innovate, develop and produce the optimal equipment for the Danish and European defence – and in the end keep the soldiers “Better Protected”.
