This Ringmount is a common SIMA Innovation Ringmount. It has a weight of 115 kg incl. a watertight armoured hatch, and is designed with a single aluminium bearing.
It is the largest of the Ringmounts which can have an armoured hatch. It has an inner diameter of 850 mm and is mainly used for logistic vehicles and for open vehicles (SOF)
It is operated by an electrical cable-free slipring. This means that the operator can turn and surveil 360 degrees.
It is run by an electric motor operated by a joystick. In case of emergency, it can also be managed manually with a handwheel.
The RM850AL-ES is a modular Ringmount, and a variety of additional equipment can be added or upgraded at a later stage like:
- EMC proof according to MIL-STD 461G
- Gunner Protection Kit, sun cover wire cutter, spare barrel holder etc.
- Ammo boxes
- Self-Protecting System (smoke grenade launcher)
The Ringmount come with a standard A-Frame which support soft- and hardmounts for the following weapon types:
- 7,62/5,56 mm MAG58/M249, M60 E6, MG 5 etc.
- 12,7 mm M2 Browning HMG
- 40 mm AGL (H & K)
- M134 Dillon
A special A-Frame is developed and can be purchased in case of the need of a P20-weapon type.
The weapons and A-Frames can operate and be interchanged between different Ringmounts/vehicles with Ringmounts. (A-Frame can only be changed between Ringmounts of the same size).
