SIMA Innovation and the Danish Armed Forces: A trusted alliance ensuring soldiers are better protected through cutting-edge, scalable, and interoperable defense solutions

For many years, SIMA Innovation has collaborated closely with the Danish Armed Forces and the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (FMI) with one clear goal: To ensure that Danish and allied soldiers are “Better Protected” – equipped with the best and safest gear when deployed to global hotspots.

The current situation highlights the need for a strong partnership between the military and industry. Effective and resilient supply chains have never been more critical, and this requires:

📌 That the industry possesses the necessary capacities, competencies, and resources to deliver and scale.

📌 That the offered solutions and products are qualified, well-tested, commercially competitive, and simultaneously support the requirements for interoperability and interchangeability across vehicles, units, and nations – ensured through flexible, modular, and upgradeable systems.

All of this was discussed and demonstrated during the visit of Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen to SIMA Innovation yesterday. The messages were well received, including the fact that – through the existing framework agreement with FMI – we are capable of delivering on all these fronts. The visit also emphasized the importance of initiating known projects now to utilize the capacity already available – thereby strengthening the Armed Forces’ combat capabilities and securing Danish jobs.
